Severe weather and flooding events
Due to recent severe weather and flooding impacts across large areas of Queensland from Wide Bay to the south-east, and northern New South Wales, Open Minds provides an update on services in affected areas.
Impacted locations
- The Lismore and Redcliffe locations are closed until further notice. Please contact your Care Leader if you require support. headspace Redcliffe will continue with telehealth appointments until further notice.
- Community Access Support (CAS) services have started to return to normal, however they may continue to be impacted in affected regions for the remainder of this week. Please speak to your Care Leader for more information.
- All other services, including headspace and Allied Health, are operating as usual.
- If you have any questions or require more information, please contact your Care Leader.
With more severe weather predicted, Open Minds staff will continue to monitor and report for each location on damage or risk of damage.
COVID vaccination booster clinics
Vaccination booster clinics scheduled to be held this week at Eight Mile Plains and Capalaba Multicap Hubs have been postponed until next week. If you have made a booking you will be contacted by our team shortly with details of your new appointment time.

- Avoid driving in affected areas unless it is absolutely necessary, and do not drive through floodwaters
