Removing Barriers to Access
We recognise that access to technology, internet connectivity, privacy and digital confidence can present barriers for some people.
Where digital access is a challenge, our team will work alongside individuals to identify practical solutions that support engagement with care. This may include supported access to technology, use of community-based facilities, telephone-based support or face-to-face appointments where appropriate and available.
-
Transition to the Permanent Centre
Where individuals are receiving ongoing support during the interim period, care will transition seamlessly into the permanent centre once operational, including face-to-face appointments where appropriate.
-
Our Commitment
The Northern Gold Coast Medicare Mental Health Centre is designed to be more than a building. It is a coordinated, community-based mental health service that helps people access the right support, at the right time, in the right way.
Through this interim service commencement model, Open Minds remains committed to ensuring community members can access timely, welcoming and person-centred mental health support from day one of service operation, while we prepare to open the permanent Northern Gold Coast Medicare Mental Health Centre.
For further information, referrals or support, contact the Medicare Mental Health Phone Service on 1800 595 212 or visit one of our Community Access Points.
