new General Manager, Integrated Mental Health Services. QLD
Open Minds warmly welcomes the recent appointment of Michelle Underhill as the new General Manager of Integrated Mental Health Services, Queensland.
Michelle has more than 15 years’ experience in the mental health sector including senior leadership roles, health service planning, advocacy and quality improvement. Michelle is passionate about early intervention and is driven by the desire to improve the health and social outcomes of local communities.
Michelle joins Open Minds from the Brisbane South Primary Health Network (BSPHN) where over the last eight years she ensured the BSPHN responded effectively to emerging needs and initiatives of the region in relation to mental health, suicide prevention and alcohol and other drugs.
Open Minds Chief Operating Officer, Kate Johnson, said Michelle’s appointment comes at a critical time when demand for mental health services is growing.
“Michelle joins a collaborative and innovative team who share the same passion for improving community outcomes through mental health support. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will lead our Queensland offering of Integrated Mental Health Services from strength to strength,” said Kate.
