New categories for
Mental Health Achievement Awards

For 2019, Open Minds has added two new categories to the Queensland Mental Health Week Achievement Awards: the Early Years Award and the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Award.

Each year, Open Minds review the Queensland Mental Health Week Achievement Awards categories to ensure we are adapting to the changing mental health sector priorities and ensuring that the awards remain relevant.

Here are the new categories we’ve added and details about who can apply for an award:

Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Award

For any individual or organisation that demonstrates a commitment to improving the life of Queenslanders who are Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and living with mental illness.

They can do this through the provision of culturally appropriate mental health related services, programs, projects or initiatives, and their work must promote social inclusion and participation.
