Justin Mendes

Psychologist

Justin is a trained psychologist that enjoys working with young people and adults from various backgrounds and with a range of mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, attachment disorders, OCD, and chronic stress, and with conditions such as ADHD and ASD. He has experience working productively with individuals that have severe and complex mental illnesses which often put them at risk of harm toward themselves or others.

He is passionate about empowering and equipping people to courageously transform themselves into the kinds of people that change their present reality, live more resiliently, have more rich and connected relationships, strive toward their personal and career goals, and live a more meaningful and fulfilled life. He is familiar with a range of therapeutic methods including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Trauma-focused CBT, Exposure Therapy, Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy. However, as sure as each person is unique, so too is the style of therapy and engagement tailored for the individual.
