NAIDOC Week

Find out what NAIDOC Week events are happening in your local area, and discover ones that Open Minds are hosting to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

NAIDOC (National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee) Week will this year be celebrated from Sunday 8th July to Sunday 15th July 2018.

The theme for 2018 is “Because of her we can” and the spotlight is shining bright on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.

These unsung women have fought for equal rights for many years and they continue to pave the way with their achievements and successes.

Below we have compiled a list of events in Queensland celebrating NAIDOC Week, why not go along to one of them to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
