Open Minds Provides Mental Health Support QLD

The team at Open Minds has been delivering mental health support in Queensland for more than a century. With a fantastic team across the state, we’re making it easier to access the supports you need.

Our mental health support QLD is specially designed to work for people living with mental illness, disability and acquired brain injury. If you have an NDIS plan, we’ll work with you to find supports that increase your independence, build your capacity and help you achieve your goals.

We work closely with qualified health professionals, the NDIS and the Australian Government, so we can offer mental health support QLD to people who are eligible.

If you’d like assistance with psychosocial disability, our team can help. Your wellbeing is at the centre of everything we do, so we’ll do everything we can to support you along your journey.

There’s more than 100 years of experience built into everything we do, and that allows us to help our clients strive towards a positive future.

We take a personalised approach to delivering mental health community support services QLD wide.

When you work with us, we’ll take the time to find out more about your goals and informal support networks, then match you to services that may include:

  • NDIS-funded mental health support QLD for people living with autism, asperger’s, disability and more
  • Support for youth mental health through headspace
  • Accessing the community
  • Daily living assistance with activities like cooking, cleaning and personal grooming

Australia’s National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is making it easier for people living with disability and mental illness to access support.

Open Minds works closely with the NDIS to offer our services to people living with asperger’s, autism, PTSD, mental health, psychosocial disability and more.

NDIS eligibility is assessed based on needs, so we’re able to provide mental health support QLD for people living with a wide range of mental illness and disability, regardless of your diagnosis.

Through the NDIS, we offer funded supports that help increase your capacity, build your independence and allow you to reach your full potential.

Our NDIS support services are offered from many of our Queensland locations. Wherever you are, you’ll be able to access mental health support QLD stretching from Townsville down to the Sunshine Coast, Redcliffe, Brisbane and Toowoomba.

Our NDIS mental health supports can give you the freedom to pursue your goals.

Youth Mental Health Support QLD

At Open Minds, we believe in making mental health support available to everyone, including children and young people.

With more than 75% of mental health issues beginning before the age of 25, we’re committed to helping younger communities through difficult situations.

Whether you’re living with disability or managing a mental illness, Open Minds can help you access support through our headspace centres in:

  • Redcliffe
  • Strathpine
  • Indooroopilly

We’re proud to be taking part in the Government’s headspace initiative.

The program allows us to make mental health support QLD services more readily available to people aged 12 to 25. With our younger communities needing more mental health support than ever, the Open Minds team is ready to make a difference.

Our Partnerships

The Open Minds Community Re-Entry Service Team (CREST) works in partnership with the Queensland Correctional Service within the Correctional Centre, Probation and Parole office in Townsville. We support men and women on parole to help make re-entry into the community a success, and to find stable accommodation.

headspace supports young people who are going through a tough time. If you are aged 12-25 and you need someone to talk to, headspace will provide you with access to health advice, education and employment. Open Minds is the lead agency for headspace in both Redcliffe and Taringa.

Open Minds works in partnership with the Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast PHN to provide Coastal Supports, a program for people living with severe mental illness who are ineligible for NDIS funding, living on the Sunshine Coast and in Gympie. This program is funded by the Central Queensland, Wide Bay & Sunshine Coast PHN.

Healthy North Coast is an independent, not-for-profit organisation proudly delivering the PHN program in North Coast NSW. Committed to improving the health of our communities through quality primary health care.
