NDIS Mental Health Funding

What is the NDIS?

How does the NDIS measure your support?

The NDIS measures each case individually and therefore there is no clear eligibility checklist. However, people who experience a disability because of their mental health, and are likely to be eligible for individualised NDIS mental health funding will:

  • Have lifelong or permanent needs in relation to their mental health or disability
  • Require support to participate in activities or carry out every day tasks

Applicants will need to provide evidence of how their condition requires lifelong support, these are defined under the following categories:

  • Communication
  • Social interaction
  • Learning
  • Mobility
  • Self-care
  • Self-management

How to access NDIS support?

If your disability or mental health currently has a major impact on your capacity to carry out standard everyday tasks without support, you may be eligible for support under the NDIS individualised plan.

This is where Open Minds can help. We have a proven history in supporting individuals through the NDIS process, with being one of the first NDIS providers in Queensland.
