Queensland Mental Health Week – what’s on near you

Discover what Queensland Mental Health Week events are happening near you this year, to increase awareness and interest in positive mental health and well-being across the state.

Queensland Mental Health Week is held annually, incorporating World Mental Health Day 10th October. The week aims to increase awareness and interest in positive mental health and wellbeing across the state.

The theme for 2018 is to value mental health and is informed by the Wheel of Wellbeing – to encourage people to be inspired by six actions that have been proven to improve wellbeing in everyday life.

  • Be active – do what you can, enjoy what you do, get moving and improve your mood
  • Keep learning – embrace new experiences, recognise opportunities, surprise yourself
  • Connect – talk, listen, be there
  • Give – your time, your words, your presence
  • Take notice – remember the simple things that give you joy
  • Care for our planet – it’s the home we all share

Below is a list of all the events that the Open Minds teams will be attending during the week, across Queensland and even in Northern New South Wales. So have a look at which events are nearest to you, and head along to help raise awareness for positive mental health!
