Go Green for youth mental health at Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run

headspace Redcliffe, operated by Open Minds, is the lead charity partner for the Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run, and is encouraging everyone to wear green to show support for youth mental health

headspace Redcliffe, operated by Open Minds, is the lead charity partner for the Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run this year – meaning that a percentage of each registration goes straight to supporting youth mental health.

headspace Redcliffe will host a stall where event participants and supporters can access free information and merchandise about youth mental health. The headspace Redcliffe team will also be participating in the 5km race. All participants and supporters are encouraged to wear green to help raise awareness for youth mental health issues.

Simon James, Chief Executive officer at Open Minds said: “We are delighted that headspace Redcliffe has been selected as lead charity partner for this event. We want to see as many people as possible dressed in green on the day, whether they are taking part or supporting from the sidelines, in order to create much needed awareness for youth mental health. Research has shown that 75% of mental health issues emerge before the age of 25. That’s why early intervention is so important, to decrease the chances of the illness developing into something more serious.”
